How the Judging Works

The process:

Phase 1: February 2016

The judges of each category meet to assess the written entry forms. At this meeting, candidates are selected and shortlisted for interview. The shortlisted candidates are contacted and invited to prepare for interview.

Phase 2: March 2016

Specialist judging panels meet in London to interview candidates in person. If candidates are based abroad or find it difficult to travel to London, video conferencing interviews will be arranged as necessary.

Candidates make a 15-20 minute presentation, explaining their achievements. This is followed by a question and answer session by the judging panels. Each interview lasts approximately an hour. At this stage, pictures, diagrams, models or charts that help explain the achievement are welcome.

The judges are looking for evidence that the candidate has gone beyond the normal remit of their day job to make an outstanding contribution to their team, project or organisation. Candidates are encouraged to bring a colleague, client or employer to support them during the interview process.
